DEMO 09 presenters unveiled

27.02.2009
organizers have announced the latest crop of hand-picked emerging technologies, including a portable device that works as a netbook and touch-screen tablet, a voice-to-text SMS application for the iPhone and a network of small, battery powered wireless cameras that stream video directly to the Internet.

In its 19th year, Network World's DEMO conference is showcasing 39 companies launching new products.

Presenters will be given six minutes on stage to demonstrate their products during the show Monday and Tuesday in Palm Desert, Calif. Other new technologies include a personal e-mail assistant to sort through messages and parse conversations and an intelligent, Web-based mortgage buying subscription service.

Specific details on which company developed which product won't be available until Monday, but DEMO did reveal the list of companies Friday afternoon.
