MÜNCHEN (COMPUTERWOCHE) - Die RSA Communications Inc., Raleigh, North Carolina, hat eine Faxmodem-Software für Microsofts Klein-Betriebssystem Windows CE vorgestellt. Damit sollen Handhelds eine Faxverbindung mit 14,4 Kbit/s und eine Datenverbindung von 33,6 Kbits/s herstellen können. "Native Modem Technology" eignet sich laut Hersteller auch für Set-top-Boxen oder andere multifunktionale Geräte, die mit Hitachis "SH-3-RISC"-Technologie kompatibel sind.
