Last year, Apple stood at 35 on the Fortune 500 list--this year, though, the company's jumped to 17. Interestingly enough, it's still being beat out by both Verizon and AT&T--though imagine what would happen if you suddenly took the iPhone away from those guys.

Speaking of AT&T, wireless division CEO Ralph de la Vega said on Monday that the company is getting ready to offer a family data plan this year. So if you can't afford an in-ground or above-ground pool, maybe you can still afford a data pool.
